Bezold Effect

Bezold Effect

Overview

This simple design demonstrated my understanding of the Bezold Effect and it's relation to color perception. The Bezold Effect is an optical illusion where one color can appear different when placed next to a different color.

In this example, the same design is used in all four squares, the background color is the only thing that changes in the four squares. Since, in some examples, the background color was the same as one of the colors of part of the design, it appears like parts of the pattern disappear. This was done to further heighten one's awareness of this effect.
