Visual Effects-Based Cinematography I

In-Camera Effect

I created one of the various types of in-camera effects. I chose to create a Vertigo Effect, first created for Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 film "Vertigo". I used model trains and set up this rig with the camera being driven on one train track towards the subject train using a remote control to control the speed of the train/camera dolly and the zoom of the camera.

These projects were shot with a DVX100 camera and were then edited in Apple's Shake. These projects introduced different, small cinematography/editing techniques. The goal was to learn the techniques more so than creating a final, larger project that was well polished, so the videos are rough and more technical than visual.
