"Hard" Motion

Overview

This project was a three part assignment. The goal was to create two different shapes (one "hard" and geometric, the other "soft" and organic) and create different patterns with them. The first two designs were using each the soft and the hard shape on their own to create an interesting pattern of positive/negative spaces. The first was a simple grid structure. The second was a grid where the shape could be rotated. And the third design was to show the illusion of motion with the use of one of the shapes.
